I have lived in the Parish most of my life and follow in the footsteps of other members of the Wilkins family who have lived here since 1620.

I have served on the Parish Council for nearly 30 years and am now in my second term as Chairman. I am also Chairman to the Trustees of the Poynder Almshouses, Chairman to the Trustees of Hilmarton Community Association, a member of HAGGIS, Co-ordinator of the Hilmarton Speed Watch Group and producer of ‘Neighbourhood News from Hilmarton Parish’

The wellbeing of the whole Parish is my highest priority and I take great satisfaction being involved in community events and projects, giving a little back to the Parish that has supported my family and I most of my life”.

I have lived in the Parish all my life apart from 4 years when I lived in Tetbury.
As a very active member of the community I like to feel I am putting something back into the place I love. As well as Clerk to the Parish Council I am Clerk to the Poynder Almshouse Trust, I was also Clerk to Hilmarton Primary School Governors for 12 years and I am a committee member of Hilmarton Community Association and one of the editors for the Parish Newsletter. Over the years I have served on many committees including Toddler Group, Playgroup, Hilmarton School Association, Parochial Church Council, Phoenix Group, Fete Committee and the Parish Plan Steering Group.

I was born in Chippenham and moved to Compton Road with my wife Jacquie in 1988. We have a daughter who attended Hilmarton Primary School and The John Bentley School in Calne.
I work as an Area Sales Manager for Shell UK Oil. I have served on the Parish Council since May 1999 during some of that time I was Chairman. I was also a Governor at Hilmarton Primary School for 13 years. Currently I am an active member of the Parochial Church Council (PCC), Church Warden and a keen member of St Laurence Bell Ringers. I view the whole of the Parish as my family home and enjoy being involved in any worthy cause or activity that can add value to the community.

I live in Church road near the chapel with my wife, adult daughter and our dog ‘Basil’. My son and his fiancé moved out in 2011 and now live in Calne. My children have both attended Hilmarton and John Bentley Schools. We have lived in Hilmarton since 1995.
An active member of the community, having been involved and attended many of the projects and events held in the Parish and surrounding area. I have been an active member of the HSA, Neighbourhood First Responders; Also I am currently the Vice-Chair of the SSAFA Forces Additional Needs & Disability Forum.
I am a keen photographer, dog walker and cyclist (when time allows). When walking with ‘Basil’ we use many of the footpaths and bridleways that criss-cross our Parish, and try to keep them clear and accessible. I have served as a councillor for several years and I am proud of where we live and want to be involved in the community and maintain the charm the parish has.

I moved to the village with my wife, Shirley in early 2008.
I took early retirement from MOD in 2012, having lived and worked in a variety of locations both in UK and abroad. My wife and I are been made so welcome in the village and that is why I became a Parish Councillor to help the community as best I can.
I am a keen member of St Laurence Bell Ringers. I am also a committee member of and volunteer driver for Calne Link charity.

I have lived here in Goatacre since 1976 with my wife and three daughters. My three girls all attended Hilmarton Primary School, which I was very proud of as I had also attended Hilmarton School with my three brothers. During my time in the village I have served on Hilmarton School Governors, Goatacre Village Hall Committee and also previously served on the Parish Council.
I am a Regional Sales Director for a company selling poultry equipment, so my employment still links me to the rural economy giving me a good grasp of many issues facing rural life.

I am no stranger to Hilmarton. I came to Wiltshire in 1953, firstly living in Ratford and then moved to Hilmarton in 1958. I now live in the same house that my parents purchased in that year.

I was educated in Calne and began my career with a local legal firm before deciding to move away to Sussex to further that career. I remained away from Wiltshire for some 40 years but still retained an interest in the village through my parents and wider group of relatives who have lived in Hilmarton continuously for over 50 years.

Whilst living in Sussex I served as a trustee of both the adult and children’s hospices, and was actively involved in running a homeless persons project.

Having now returned to live in Hilmarton and with the experiences I have obtained, I feel that with such a background I can hopefully actively contribute something to the village, and also the local community.
