Road Closure M4 Junction 15

Uploaded: October 20, 2017

M4 Junction 15 (Swindon, Wiltshire) – Resurfacing

I am writing to advise that Kier Highways, on behalf of Highways England, will be resurfacing sections of the roundabout at junction 15 to address surface defects (e.g. potholes and low skid resistance areas). This work is to ensure the network remains in a safe condition for our customers.

In order to carry out the work as efficiently and safely as possible, we’ll need to close the eastern and western sides of the roundabout non-consecutively. We recognise that this is a busy junction, and therefore all work will be carried out overnight, between 10pm and 6am, when traffic flows are at their lowest.

Closure
East side of roundabout
Dates
Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 October 2017*
Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 November 2017*

Closure of the eastern side of the roundabout

Closure of westbound exit slip road
Closure of A419 southbound from the Commonhead Roundabout to junction 15

Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 November 2017*

During the closures clearly signed diversions will be in place via the M4 junctions 14 and 16, Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Lyneham, Calne and Marlborough (see map overleaf).

Confirmed dates for the closures will be displayed in advance on signs at the junction.
